Six Month Doctor Visit.
Sadie is a haas now. Well, sort of. She's finally made her way out of the 25-30th percentiles and is exactly average.
Height=26.2"=55th percentile
Weight=15lbs 15oz=50th percentile
Head=16.5"=30th percentile
So her head is a bit small. But at least she doesn't look like she's gonna tip over at any moment due to the typical ginormous baby head.
Anyhow...she was great for the doctor. All was going well. Sadie happily played on the bench, eating the protective paper. Not a care in the world. Then. Out of nowhere. Two horribly painful shots. One in each leg. There was no option but so scream in agony. Even the nurse was taken aback. She described it as something out of a horror movie. Great.
But all is well now. I naturally had to get a Starbucks drink to cope with her pain. And Sadie is taking an extended nap.
Notice the two Band-Aids ☹
Here are a few more images of the last couple weeks...
Thug Sadie...
Before an early morning trip to the Farmer's Market.
We hosted a massive dinner with Omar's family, an Iraqi refugee family, Sala (who owns the delicious Petra Cafe), our neighbors, and Leslie. Ikbal took over the cooking and now we have enough left overs to last a few months. It was de`li`cious.

...and she will be the cutest, most amazing child her pediatrician will ever see in his / her medical career.
My poor baby! She certainly has some lungs on her. Probably going to be a famous singer someday. You need to teach her to throw some gang signs when she's wearing that hat.
So sad that she had to get shots:(
I am loving the matching mommy and Sadie gangsta look.
I could just hear her scream in my head and it broke my heart. But the great smile, would lead one to believe she's gotten over it.
I just love the thug outfit, she looked too cute.
P.S. The food looked great...Mmmm!
Oh. My. Goodness. Where did you find that hat? Addie is going to be a total copy-cat and run out to find one (...or maybe I will). Of course, we would have to find one a few sizes larger for her big noggin'! Cheers to you for making it through those dreadful shots. It's awful!
