One of a Kind

I love how all kids have their own unique personalities. Sadie and Norah get along so well, but they are both so different! Sadie is growing to be this little independent thing. Though she can be quite the follower, she is apparently quite the little ring leader in her class. None of the kids eat breakfast until we get there and she often leads the play. Sometimes she's rather brave, but other times she gets really timid, shy or scared and needs her daddy (or mommy if he's not around). She thinks it's hilarious to say things in a "silly" voice and is pretty friendly with strangers now (with momma around)! I love these two pictures of her.
Here is her sweet self...
And here she is being "so silly" as she told me. Take note of her outfit. It says so much about her. I dressed her in the purple board shorts and matching shirt. Within an hour, it evolved into what you see below. Our rule is that she can wear whatever she wants at home, but when we go out, I'm in charge of her clothes!

And then there's little miss thing here. She is still super relaxed, tough, and flexible...about most things. You can sit on her, keep her up hours past nap-time, keep her strapped in a stroller for a couple hours...and she's cool with it. Take something away from her, tell her it's nap time, or not let her walk across the dangerous parking lot...meltdown. Throw yourself to the floor, kick and scream meltdown. And it's just the cutest thing. As her Grammy would say, "She's just a baby. She doesn't understand." She will let me put her hair up in cute bows and usually keeps hats and headbands on (unlike her sister). Norah regularly brings me dress up clothes, crowns, skirts, and shoes to put on. She's recently discovered the intrigue of blocks and loves to sit and read by her books for up to an hour at a time. Amazing.

And then I got this awesome idea off of pinterest! The paint is actually in a ziplock bag. Mess free and they can explore how the different colors mix together.

And I leave you with this...
You're welcome.
